Manuals for Nikon products/ 2018/02/15/ Ver.2.0.0 Manual Viewer 2 The Nikon Manual Viewer 2 app for iPhones, iPads, iPod touch, and Android devices can be used to download the manuals for Nikon digital SLR cameras and view them offline. I've downloaded the newest software from Nikon for Windows 10 and that just loads the software to operate the camera. It claims it loads the camera driver when the software is loaded but apparently the driver doesn't work with all Windows 10 systems. On most of my newer systems it works but on my older systems and new laptops it doesn't work.

Basic Download and Nikon Coolpix L23 Installation instructions for Windows and Macintosh:
- Click the download link below for your computer type.
- Save the file to your desktop for easy location after the download completes.
- Windows:Run the F-L23-V11W.exe file to produce the folder labeled L23Update, containing the folder firmware, which contains the file firmware.bin.
- Macintosh:Run the F-L23-V11M.dmg file to produce the folders labeled L23Update containing the folder firmware, which contains the file firmware.bin.
- Format an empty SD card and use a card reader or similar device to copy the firmware folder to the memory card.
- Insert the memory card containing the firmware folder in the camera’ memory card slot and turn on the camera. Select Firmware version from the setup menu and follow instructions displayed to upgrade the camera’s firmware.
- When Done is displayed in the camera monitor, follow instructions and turn off the camera. DO NOT shut off the camera until Done is displayed. Eject the SD memory card.
- Access the Firmware version item in the setup menu to confirm that the camera firmware version has been upgraded.
Note: When attempting to format the following SD memory cards with the camera, the “Card is not formatted. Format card?” message was displayed, and when “Yes” was selected, the same message was displayed again. This issue has been resolved. In addition, operational stability has been increased with formatting of other types of SD memory cards as well.

Nikon Transfer is a file processing utility which was developed for the benefit of owners of Nikon digital SLR cameras. The application is primarily used to transfer files from digital cameras to the system it is installed on.
The application includes several useful features for the management of pictures. Not only does it act as an image management program, but it can also manage file names and folders: you can use Nikon Transfer to configure the file names of images saved on the PC. File names can include spaces, hyphens, time, date, year all the way up to the second the photo was shot.
Another useful features of the Nikon Transfer application is its built-in ability to create backups of digital photos. You can use it to save files to multiple destinations; an external HDD could be the perfect place to store secondary backups of files before clearing your memory card.
It's interesting to note that JPEG images from other brands of cameras are supported without any hitches. For example, we just used the memory card from our Sony Alpha camera to test the program. Although it didn't see any of our RAW files, it had no problem dealing with the JPEG images on the memory card.
Finally, Nikon Transfer supports Nikon's own 'my Picturetown' image sharing service, although it has since been renamed to 'IMAGE SPACE'. You can use the program to upload the image while also include XMP/IPTC keywords and favorites.
